CHALLENGE: Our client asked us to evaluate a 140 store retail chains they were considering acquiring.
METHODOLOGY: Over the course of 6 weeks we sent a team of our professionals into 3 geographical markets and visited 35 representative locations. We evaluated these 35 businesses from top to bottom, identifying the state of their fiscal health, the growth opportunity, the margin corrections needed, expense analysis, and the customer experience and brand health.
RESULT: Our insights helped the client determine the business value and potential of the chain. Ultimately they acquired the chain based on our recommendation and retained us post-acquisition to build a business success model for each of the 35 control sites. The EBITA improvement was dramatic over the first 12 months post-acquisition
and we have been retained to visit with the management team on a quarterly basis to maintain momentum.
